Orforglipron

Orforglipron is glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1RA) weight that increases the release of insulin from the pancreas by increasing the volume of insulin-producing beta cells and reducing the release of glucagon (a hormone that increases blood sugar levels). Primarily a weight loss drug, it works by slowing the movement of food from the stomach into the small intestine, resulting in increased satiety, reduced food intake, and more efficient energy expenditure.
